Q-BOX

Q-Box serves for flame-free pressure relief in explosions of explosive mixtures of various powders and air in filters, bunkers and elevators. Unlike the Q-Rohra, which is round, the Q-Box has a rectangular shape.

The structure and events of the explosion are shown in the picture below.

The stainless steel mesh inserted inside the Q-Box retains the flame, reduces cracking and lowers the surface temperature to only 90°C.
